Location Narrative	The stand is located approx. 1500 m S of the saddle between N. Chalone and So. Chalone Peaks within the new land called South Wilderness. Grazing and cattle trails present in area and plot. Land acquired by PINN from BLM in 2000. Fire in 1994 (?). Microtopo = 07 other, steps. Plot is located at bottom of very large scree stand. Plot has SW aspect and a 30 degree slope. There is a large rock outcrop N of the plot.
