Location Narrative ? Site is located adjacent to Chalone Creek on east bank. Site is 100 m downstream of the canyon north of Willow Springs. Plot is located at the bottom of a moderately sized stand of ceanothus - chamise. The stand has less ceanothus and more chamise as it goes uphill. There are a few trees (pines and oaks) where the stand meets a drainage and Chalone Creek. Vicious biting flies and mosquitos.
