The stand is located in the TNC Dye Creek Preserve, 40 m SW of the gate to Hog Gulch Road. The stand was chosen because it represents a population of the rare plant Fritillaria pluriflora. The relevé was conducted late in the season and much of the herbaceous cover was dry.; The stand was recently grazed by cattle. The stand was recently burned by the Nature Conservancy and appears very different from the adjacent unburned private cattle pastures. Trampling of the plot by cattle is apparent.

Observation Narrative
cited in Klein et al. 2007 as SNFN0168, Unusual species present: Fritillaria pluriflora. 51 individuals were counted in the plot, although the actual number is likely to be higher because the dry conditions made counting difficult.
