Location Narrative |
Flyaway Gulch, Mariposa County, Bureau of Land Management. Rocky outcrop on ridge east of Highway 49, west of Flyaway Gulch, south of Schilling Road. Rock outcrop occurs in east to west trending band across ridge top. East end of relevé has greater cover of Selaginella. Cover becomes sparser toward west. Stand populated largely by native forbs, with clusters of Lewisia rediviva and Allium cratericola.; Site history unknown. May have been grazed historically. May be current grazing lease.

upland; Annual Grass; Similar stands occur intermittently along length of ridge. Some stands very small - less than 100m2. Similar species composition on areas of bare rock. This stand has highest concentration of Lewisia and Allium seen along length of ridge. Deleted coarse fragments "other" = moss
