Location Narrative ? The plot location is in riparian zone of "Dry Creek" in the Spenceville Wildlife Area. The plot is accessed from Spenceville Road, approximately 1 mile east of intersection with Waldo Rd. and approximately 0.1 mile east of intersection with Jones Rd. The plot is located on a bar in the creek bed, adjacent to the main channel and between the main channel and a secondary channel that is only filled at high water. The site was chosen to represent a stretch of the riparian zone along Dry Creek that is dominated by Ash.; There is heavy grazing immediately outside the plot area and cattle are not excluded from the riparian zone. Plot is periodically flooded during periods of high water flow.
