The plot is located in the Table Mt. Ecological Reserve, approximately 500 m E of the parking area off Cherokee Rd. The stand is located on the basalt mesa, about midway between the canyon at the north end of the property, and the northern-most tip of the southern canyon. The stand is dominated by Lasthenia californica and Trifolium depauperatum.; The site is an ecological reserve managed for wildflowers by DFG. The site is actively grazed.
