Location Narrative |
The plot is located in the pasture of the Rock Ranch about 120 m south of the ranch house and about 15 m east of the ephemeral creek running through the property. The stand is dominated by Zigadenus fremontii and Avena barbata. Fritillaria pluriflora is scattered through the plot as is Hesperevax caulescens.; The site is actively grazed by horses. The landowner says that the pasture/meadow was a Native American site as middens have been found on the property. The hydrology of the site may be altered by adjacent solar panel array and construction.
