The stand is located in the North Table Mountain Wildlife area, approximately 1 km W of the parking lot, on the northern edge of a ravine. The stand is on a south-facing slope. It is a well wooded, multiple-stemmed, interior live oak stand with a largely herbaceous understory. One half of the exposed cobbles and stone faces are moss or lichen covered.; There is grazing to the edge of the stand. There is evidence of a very old fire (multiple stems).
