The stand is located in the Doe Mill Meadowfoam Preserve. The plot is about 30 m from the western boundary and 60 m from the southern boundary. The stand has an abundant cover of Bromus hordeaceus and several species of native forbs. Dichelostemma capitatum is abundant as are Plagiobothrys fulvus and Clarkia purpurea.; The site is now a meadowfoam preserve, but was almost certainly grazed in the past. There is no evidence of grazing this season. The site was burned about 4 years ago.
