Cronan Ranch, American River Conservancy (transferring to BLM 5/15/2005). Located west of Highway 49 approximately 5 miles south of Cool. Property immediately north of Greenwood Creek BLM unit. Former ranch, grazed between 1883 and May 2004. Relevé located on top of rocky ridgetop, east of Down and Up Trail, SE of parking area at end of Pedro Hill Road, on west side of Highway 49. Ridgetop dominated by Trifolium hirtum. Grasses much more sparse than lower on slope.; Last grazing, May 2004, was one cow per 10 acres. The parcel is 1400 acres.
