Auburn State Recreation Area. The plot is west of the Robie Trail, south of where it intersects the Olmstead Loop Trail. The stand is black oak with some blue oak and an even-aged understory with foothill pine saplings. The shrub layer is primarily poison oak. The herb layer is sparse with Lathyrus sp., Sanicula, and low poison oak. The stand is on an east-facing slope, with occassional, large gray and ponderosa pines. An intermittent creek runs parallel to the trail at the base.; A recreational trail (Robie Trail) runs east of the plot. No noted impacts in the plot.
