This stand is in TNC Dye Creek Preserve, approximately 1.5 miles up Kingsley Gulch from Foothill Rd. The plot can be accessed from North Main Rd past the rock wall to the end of Avery Place Rd, then down the NW face of the gulch toward the creek. The plot has a Quercus wislizeni overstory with a shrub layer composed of Cercis, Toxicodendron diversilobum, and Aesculus. It is on a low slope, north of the creek, with one edge bordered by a river channel with Rubus and Salix. There is a Quercus douglasii woodland north of the plot.
