Location Narrative	Paynes Creek Recreation Area. The plot is located about 12 meters to the west of SNFN0323 in the same vernal pool margin. It is one (drier) of the two main community types around this vernal pool. The boundary with the adjacent California Annual Grassland is relatively abrupt. The cover of Lasthenia is mostly dried up and probably much less than it was earlier. The low spp. diversity of the plot is also likely due to the late phenology. Plot azimuth = 310 deg.
