| Location Narrative |
The stand is located on the steep north- and west-facing slopes along an unnamed road off of Ponderosa Way, just N of the community park (west of the landfill). The stand is characterized by a tall, mature, black oak overstory with intermittent ponderosa pine as a co-dominant. The shrub understory is fairly continuous with Heteromeles and many 1- to 2-meter incense cedar saplings. The herb layer is virtually non-existent.
