The site is located south of Oat Creek in the Tehama Wildlife Area. The plot contains a fairly continuous overstory cover of mature ponderosa pine and black oak. The understory is composed of scattered shrubs with a sparse herb layer. The plot contains a high number of one- to five-year-old ponderosa pine saplings.
