Location Narrative ? The stand is located on a south-facing slope, just north of a seasonal creek, which feeds into Pine Creek west of the plot. The substrate is very rocky with cobbles and bedrock making the soil very thin. The vegetation is comprised mostly of Selaginella hansenii with Linanthus parviflora and commonly associated Gilia tricolor. This location is probably seasonally wet.; This site is grazed every year, and there are cattle present now, although this area does not appear to be heavily grazed.
