Landscape Narrative ? Flatwoods lake about 150 feet in diamter, nearly circular. Center has deeper water with Nymphaea odorata (about 30x50 feet) surrounded by Panicum hemitomon. Edge of water has Woodwardia virginica, Andropogon brachystachyus band about 20 feet wide. A few Cephalanthus occidentalis grow about the Panicum. Litsea aestivalis shrubs (6-10 feet tall) are scattered around the water's edge, currently submerged at their bases. Pinus elliottii (6-12" dbh) grow in the Woodwardia band, and in the surrounding Serenoa repens (3-5 feet). Mesic flatwoods are on the north and scrub is on the other sides.
