From Plot 125, head east while staying on contour. Just before getting to main ridge look for red maple dominated site. If you notice alot of Malaxis and not much Gaylusaccia ursina then your close to plot center.

Assigned to this association with low confidence. Few trees >40 cm dbh. Hard to believe this was logged this far uphill. Some trees could be stump sprouts. Occurs over many acres. 20-30 individuals of Malaxis unifolia!
