Location Narrative ? Park at Anthony Creek Trailhead, follow the trail up to Russell Field. From Russell field, go 58 degrees up the west facing ridge toward McCampbell Knob. Plot is close to where thick rhododendron starts.

The beech are mostly 8 to 12 inches DBH, and there are a few scattered larger oaks -- This beech layer appears to follow around the knob. Above the plot, forest turns into high elevation oak with a thick rhododendron understory. Below the plot there is more maple.
