Parsons Branch Rd. until cross Easting 241000. Park at ridgetop to the east of this line; Walk 180 degrees S up toward the ridge. The plot is on the left side of the ridge, 25 m to plot center from ridgeline.
Very little litter and duff layer. Sheetflow might have an affect on litter build up. Entire area appears to have been logged in the past. -- Below plot location before slope becomes steep, community is almost all poplar/black locust with almost no S and H layer. Shrub and herb layers become more prominant and diverse as the elevation goes up.
