This forest type is very common along this e-facing slope. Several small seeps and streams near plot. Very large THUPLI & TSUHET. Most are to big for borer (about 36" DBH). Tried to core smaller trees but can't get through bark. Lots of fire scars, p
Soil is dark brown when wet with about 4 in of duff, and a lot of small and large rock. Hard to get soil without duff to do texture test. Rock is mostly red and green argillite.
