Napi Burn was a stand-replacing fire in 1988. Previous forest was probably ABILAS & PICENG WITH VACCAE & ARNCOR. Very few tree seedlings present in area of plot. Scattered ABILAS, PINCON & PICENG seedlings present outside of plot. Most of burned area
Loamy sand. Soil consists of around 70% gravel (red & green argillite), possibly some quartzite also. Does not form a ribbon. Makes a weak ball when water is added. Very coarse texture.
