Along Highway 140, just east of Cedar Lodge, at power substation on E. side of highway. Plot is in stand of valley oaks about 100 m N of fence around substation, and ~6 E of roadway, where driveway to substation meets highway.
The plot is on a low gradual slope and has several very mature oaks with a grass and forb understory. The area may be very rarely flooded by the Merced River, or by downslope/downstream flows from adjacent tributaries. Hybridization between Quercus loba -- Total Veg. Cover: 5 / 75%
