From State Hwy. 120, take Cherry Lake Rd. (USFS 1N07) ~ 5km past Cherry Creek bridge. Plot is on right side of road, just short of telephone lines overcrossing, in a stand of old-growth sugar pines.
Several old-growth sugar pines are in competition with a greater density of young white firs and incense-cedars. The fuel load is extremely high and fire suppression has possible played a role in the vegetation structure here. Some sugar pine saplings o -- Total Veg. Cover: 6 / 93%
