Park at the S end of Tioga Lake on the Tioga road. Hike up Dana Creek about a mile to about 1/2 mile from the Lake basin. The plot is about 10M upslope from the S side of Dana Creek.
This N facing slope has Tsuga mertensiana as a co-dominant. The opposite S facing slope is dominated by pure stands of Pinus albicaulis with some Pinus contorta.
