Nape Burn was a stand-replacing fire in 1988. Previous forest was probably ABILAS & PICENG with VACSCO & ARNCOR. Very few seedlings present in area of plot. Scattered ABILAS, PINCON & PICENG seedlings present outside of plot. Most of burned area is SP
Soil is very rocky with >70% argillite, sandstone & quartzite. Mix of gravel with larger rock. Poorly developed soil. Hard to dig in. Very coarse texture. Doesn't stay in a ball or make ribbon.
