N.B.: on aerial photo this area shows bright green with downed material clearly visible. Few old spars standing (<1/acre): the trees on ground are jackstrawed in no particular direction; many off the ground; all have bark missing but with limbs 1-3 inche
Burned (hot?) in Red Bench Fire of 1988. Only aspen have come back (root sprouted) in this vicinity (potentially moist-wet). Lodgepole is to the W & E but has not invaded to speak of: Note.
