Approx. 2 miles north of Eastpoint. From SR 98, head north on Bay Shore Road. Turn right on Plum St. and follow until gate. From gate, proceed north about 0.5 miles. Plot on west side of road. Magnolia Bluff unit of St. Joeseph Bufferlands.

Xeric flatwoods Xeric flatwoods grading into mesic flatwoods. Very close to East Bay and marsh. Site of very hot fire in April, 2001. Most of overstory and midstory woody vegetation killed by fire. Very sparse canopy of slash pine and sand pine. Ground cover vegetation includes Aristida beyrichiana, Quercus minima, Serenoa repens.
