Location Narrative	Stands should be visible by shrub presence. In Kern NWR. Allenrolfea occidentalis stand on higher elevation island surrounded by salt playa, similar stands occur on adjacent islands to south and east. In between stands is Distichlis spicata or salt flats with no vegetation. Stand is in Unit 2 of Kern Wildlife Refuge, around 75 m S of the north edge of the Auto Tour Rd.
