Regarding disturbance, there has been shrub removal in 2 small areas for access to the pond. A line of Alnus rhombifolia run along a portion of the NE bank of a pond filled with water diverted from the San Joaquin River. The length of the Alnus rhombifolia stand (running along bank) is ~60 m while the width is ~5m. The river is ~300 m to the SW. The understory consists mainly of Sesbania punicea though it is not as dense as other sites with Sesbania.
