Location Narrative	SJR Conservancy land, Ball Ranch, west of Friant Drive. Mixed site class stand of Populus fremontii. Stand is very open with diffuse spacing of trees and sparse shrub and shrubby herb (Artemisia douglasiana) cover. Understory dominated by annual grasses, Vicia and Artemisia. Stand is located in a low lying depression (runs E-W) with a dike to N and a pond further north.
