Location Narrative	Alnus rhombifolia stand on southern bank of San Joaquin River. The bank is steep. The width of the stand is ~10 m while the length (running along the river) is ~40 m. The understory is mainly Cephalanthus occidentalis. The upper bank is disturbed by gravel overspill from road maintenance. There are approx 6 alders.
