On LoKern Preserve around 0.5 km to the south of Jeep Rd. that crosses upper portion of preserve. GPS point E272010, N3914075 is boundary between Isomeris and Ambrosia salsola in same ravine. Cheesebush (Ambrosia salsola) stand occupies the terrace on either side of the wash. Old elk scat present. Ambrosia salsola cover reduced by 3x since fire. Width of stand varies based on past fire and width of terrace - at its widest the stand is 75 m, 20 m wide on average; the length of the stand is around 400 m. Very dry year, annuals started out then fizzled. The wash is descending from the lower portion of the Elk Hills.
