Clearly distinguishable on aerial photo due to light green color surrounded by valley oaks (dark green). Cottonwood stand located on edge of small SW-facing slope and flat ground, with Valley oak, willow, and Box elder understory (young trees), as well as sedge and blackberry understory. There are lots of downned branches and trees and high leaf litter located in San Joaquin National Wildlife Refuge, NW of the end of Beckwith Road, South of Stanislaus River, and NW of Faith Ranch.
