Quercus lobata stand on raised area (~40 m in width) between 2 sloughs. Oaks grow more densely at the crest of the raised area (running Northeast and Soutwest for about 150 m) and on the gentle slope facing NW becoming more spread out and growing on both sides (SE-NW) of the crest towards the NE edge of the stand (the convexity of the stand is noticably reduced in the NE edge of stand).
