Location Narrative	In San Joaquin River NWR, S of Stanislaus River and the end of Beckwith Rd. N of dirt road that goes past buildings further E of stand location. Basically rectangular stand, with slight SW protuberance, of Acer with mixed Carex and Bromus understory. Stand is characterized by Carex. Young Acers scattered throughout stand. Stand only slightly undulating, all water will drain to river (NE). There are 2 large (DBH about 24" or greater) Quercus lobatas in the stand.
