Location Narrative	Stand just E of Salix riparian area, more consistent height of plants in stand than Silybum rising above other annual grasslands. Forb stand in "Beet Upland" area of San Joaquin River NWR, SW side, S of Old Shoemake Rd. Never farmed, was grazed earlier this year. Grades into annual grassland and milk thistle. Stand borders riparian area, might have flooding sometimes which deposits stick litter. Recent tire tracks go through plot, some plants smashed down.
