Community Type: calcareous sinkhole pond
Community Description: Graminoid dominated fen with patches dominated by Scirpus acutus or Cladium mariscoides. Adjacent to a marl pond dug by a farmer.
Evidence of Community Processes: Saturated organic soil (groundwater seepage / upwelling).
Environmental comments: Occassional hummocks by shrubs.
Other associated species present but not in plot: Lobelia kalmii, Carex cryptolepis, Juncus brachycephalus, Eleocharis elliptica.
