Community Type: sea level fen
Community Description: Upper edge of the center large bog at Stafford Forge WMA. Transect is in the SW corner and extends only as far as is possible to walk (about 100f). Internal dikes or "bars" have given this transect areas of mucky habitat, sometimes with standing water, and other areas which are several inches higher and constructed of sand. These "bars" are colonized by different species. No recent disturbance. Zonation of plants is evident.
