Community Type: paleodune / pitch pine woodland
Community Description: The lower part (downhill) of this plot is located in a slightly more moist dune swale. This shrubland is more densely vegetated than the others (A1-A4). Soil is sand; openings are covered by moss and lichens. Quercus marilandica codominates with ericaceous shrubs and few forbs. Some very old trash is evident. No recent disturbance.
