From exit 10, on Interstate 295, go west on Central Square Road to Pedricktown Rd. Go south on Pedricktown Rd 0.7 miles to Harrisonville Rd. Go left (southeast) on Harrisonville Rd about 0.5 miles to bridge. Marsh is on both sides of bridge. Plot is on the south side.

Community Type: tidal freshwater marsh
General Vegetation/Habitat Description / Community Description: Fresh water tidal marsh along banks of a (unnamed) tributary of Oldmans Creek. Dominant plant species in deeper regularly flooded water is Nuphar advena. Higher land on banks, mud bars, and natural levees is dominated by Amaranthus cannabinus, with such additional species as Polygonum punctatum and Zizania aquatica. Marsh is bordered by a narrow band of trees and shrubs. The surrounding area is mostly farm fields. Marsh appears to be in good condition. No sign of recent disturbance, trash dumping or filling.
