Community Type: tidal brackish marsh
Community Description: Marsh is a monoculture of Phragmites australis. No recent disturbance noted. A small stream flows out of the woods and enters the marsh a short distance to the south. Plant stems have water marks. Woods adjacent to the marsh are dominated by Pinus rigida, Quercus alba, Q. velutina, Acer rubrum, Nyssa sylvatica. Soil is sandy. Phragmites is very dense and well-established.
