Observation Narrative ? Community Type: tidal brackish marsh Community Description: Spartina alterniflora-dominated tidal marsh. Some S. cynosuroides and Phragmites along higher edges. Spartina forms "islands" among winding narrow channels. Some debris along edges from flooding - also high water marks on stems. No recent disturbance. On the other (south) side of the bridge, the vegetation is a monoculture of Phragmites.
