Community Type: calcareous sinkhole pond General Description: Water fluctuation 3-5'; trees around periphery include Quercus bicolor, Acer rubrum, Ulmus americana, Viburnum prunifolium, Microstegium vimineum, and Equisetum sp. Under trees is open with leaf litter, with a large fallen oak. Pond is a mix of emergents (Carex) and shrubs (Cephalanthus). Other species present but not in plot: Solanum dulcamara, Boehmeria cylindrica, Polygonum amphibium, Eleocharis acicularis, Alisma subcordatum.
