The site is approximately 2.1 miles SW of Greenwich. From Greenwich, travel W on Bacons Neck Rd. to Tindall Island Rd. Turn left (south) on Tindall Island Rd. Continue on Tindall Island Rd. to the parking area for the PSE&G preserve.The site is within the forest SW of the parking lot, ~500'.

General Description: 80-100 year old forest of hickory, sweetgum canopy and Ilex opaca subcanopy and Boehmeria/ Carex understory that surrounds the site, which is on a part of land that is within an agricultural area. A few Chamaecyparis thyoides is found near the entrance.
Community Description: Tall tree-dominated upper shore of Liquidambar with scattered Nyssa and very little ground cover. Surrounding woods have virtually no ground cover except along paths, and shrub layer.
