Observation Narrative	Community Type: coastal plain pond General Description: Coastal plain pond with simple vegetation zonation: 1) there is an outer narrow perimeter which is a red maple/tall shrub zone, 2) there is an inner herbaceous zone which is Carex striata var. brevis with a few scattered herbs (with Cladium mariscoides being subdominant). The surrounding woods is pitch pine with a scrub oak understory. Community Description: This is the outer narrow perimeter which is a red maple/tall shrub zone.
