Site is 1 mile northeast of Leektown. From Leektown, travel east on Route 542 about 1 mile to Allens Road. Turn left (north) on Allens Road. Travel north on Allen Road about 0.4 miles to wide sand path on left. Park. Head west along path about 600’ to pond.

Community Type: coastal plain pond
General Description: Coastal plain pond with simple vegetation zonation: 1) there is an outer narrow perimeter which is a red maple/tall shrub zone, 2) there is an inner herbaceous zone which is Carex striata var. brevis with a few scattered herbs (with Cladium mariscoides being subdominant). The surrounding woods is pitch pine with a scrub oak understory.
