Stoniness: very stony (15-50%) Average Mineral Soil Texture: silty clay loam Parent Material/Bedrock: Beekmantown-Lower Landscape Description: The setting is a small glacial lake in a solution valley over Allentown Dolomite. There is a large forest buffer surrounding the pond. Surficial geology is stagnant ice in a solution sink. Karst features include an overland flow channel. Soil types and pH are silty clay, pH 7.0. Water fluctuates seasonally up to 10.17 feet.
