Location Narrative ? Site is ~1.3 miles ESE of Remsterville. From Remsterville, travel E on Alloway-Lacey Rd. ~1.3 miles to large farm on right. Turn right into farm, drive into SE corner. Walk S through woods along trail to intersection with ORV trail. Turn right. Site is ~500' on left. Permission is needed to access.

It is surrounded by deciduous forest and ORV trails. A golf course is to the SE. Very young trees, 3-4" in diameter, crowd into some areas, while others have 40-50' (maybe taller) trees in these rolling hills. Observation Narrative ? Community Type: coastal plain pond Community Description: Upper shore dominated by Acer rubrum and Ericaceous shrubs. There is a slope of 8-9 degrees and a water line ~1.5' on trunks. There is a tall canopy above the shrub layer and little difference between this area and surrounding forest other than density and a greater percentage of bare ground in the area closest to the pond. Other species present but not in plot: Lycopus sp. (0.01%)
