Site is 2 miles SE of Alloway. From Alloway, travel S on Rt. 540 ~ 2 miles. Turn left (east) to powerline cut and park. Walk NE to major bend in powerline area (~0.5 mile). Turn right (east) and follow trail through woods ~0.5 mile. Site is S of trail ~150'.

Community Type: coastal plain pond
Community Description: A zone of shrubs and trees surrounds the coastal plain pond. Very little change in elevation (2-3 degrees). Trees and shrubs are growing in small hummocks with a water line ~1-1.5'. Acer rubrum dominates the area with Clethra and Leucothoe dominating the shrub layer and Sphagnum throughout, extending 20-30 m around the pond.
