Site is ~1.2 miles S of Mt. Misery. From Mt. Misery, take Mt. Misery Rd. south, ~0.3 miles, turn right (south) and continue 0.3 miles to the fork; take left fork (Egg Harbor Rd. on topo map, Woodmansie Rd. in NJ Atlas). Follow ~0.7 miles to 3rd major bend. Pond is on right, less than 500'.

Landscape Description: Site is located in Lebanon State Forest, surrounded by pine-oak upland forest with a black huckleberry understory. The surrounding forest extends many miles in all directions, but cut by sand roads. The South Branch of Mt. Misery Brook runs NW approximately 2000' to the NE. McDonalds Branch is ~4000' to the SW.

Community Type: coastal plain pond
Community Description: Tall shrub and tree zone on upper shore of coastal plain pond. Zone is much wider (~5-10 m) on W side than on E side (~2-3 m). Plot is on W side. Ilex glabra is dominant on E side.
Other species present but not in survey area: Nyssa sylvatica (0.01%) and Ilex glabra (0.01%)
